Autodesk Inc., a world leader in 3D design software for entertainment,
natural resources, manufacturing, engineering, construction, and civil
infrastructure, announced the release of Nastran In-CAD 2015 software, a
CAD-embedded general purpose finite element analysis (FEA) tool powered
by the Autodesk Nastran solver, offers a wide range of simulation for
multiple analysis types. As part of the Autodesk Digital Prototyping
solution, it delivers high-end simulations to help engineers and
analysts make great products.
Autodesk Nastran In-CAD finite element analysis (FEA) software uses the
Autodesk Nastran solver and integrates with compatible software to
simulate real-world behavior in real time.
Adding to the Moldflow, Algor & CFDesign Line Up, Autodesk is now
shipping Nastran 2015 and Nastran In-CAD 2015 for an integrated
environment for Soldiworks and Inventor. With a great reputation in the
industry the Nastran solver does FEA linear and non-linear analysis. The
solver is also integrated into Autodesks Simulation Mechanical (Local
Machine) and Simulation Flex which is a Cloud based solver with local
solve capabilities too that does FEA, CFD and Injection Mold Analysis.
Autodesk has enhanced its Simulation software portfolio with the
addition of two new simulation products, Autodesk Nastran 2015 and
Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2015. Autodesk acquired NEi Software – and the
NEi Nastran platform on which the products are based – in May 2014 in
order to add additional structural analysis capabilities to the
company’s growing simulation portfolio. Terms of the acquisition were
not disclosed.
