CEI EnSight 10.1.6

CEI Inc., maker of EnSight visualization software for computer aided engineering (CAE) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), launches version (a) of EnSight 10.1.6 its powerful 3D visualization software for post-processing of CAE/CFD data and analysis. This version is the first major new release in over a year.

EnSight 10.1 version is the first major new release in over a year. There are a dramatic number of new features, improved usability, and better support for spheres/particles and polyhedrals. Plotting has been made easier, and EnSight’s unique capability to handle multiple cases has been enhanced and made much easier to use. For those using python for scripting will like the added support for right-click commands.

Autodesk Crispin Engineer

Delcam CRISPIN announces the 2016 release of Engineer Pro CAD software its a powerful yet easy-to-use 2D pattern engineering solution.

GibbsCAM 2015

Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM software for programming CNC machine tools and a Cimatron company, has released the 11.0.4 version of GibbsCAM 2015 software, its a provides powerful range of CNC programming functionality including Solid Modeling, 2-5 Axis Milling, High Speed Machining, Mill/Turn, Swiss, Wire-EDM, Multi-Task Machining, and more.

GibbsCAM 2015 introduces its new engine, the Universal Kinematic Machine (UKM). GibbsCAM with UKM technology was developed to further simplify programming, provide the flexibility to easily support the most advanced machines, and accurately simulate all of the machine components and capabilities of any machine. GibbsCAM 2015 contains significant improvements throughout the product line from geometry creation to toolpath strategies, as well as significant improvements to tooling, including integration with the Adveon Tooling Library.

Ansys Totem

ANSYS Inc., has presented version 14.1.b2 of Totem, its a transistor-level power noise and reliability simulation platform for analog, mixed-signal and custom digital designs.

Totem’s core technologies include foundry-certified extraction and simulation engines embedded within a powerful GUI environment that enable layout-based result analysis and design fixing. The software can analyze large full-chip designs, including package and substrate parasitics with SPICE-level accuracy. It helps designers meet increasingly stringent power and reliability requirements for IPs and/or analog and custom designs.

Totem is used to validate and sign-off custom macros or IPs (analog, custom digital, memory) against static and dynamic voltage drop. It is also useful for power and signal electromigration (EM) requirements. Multiple foundries have certified ANSYS Totem for EM and electrostatic discharge (ESD) rules for advanced technology nodes (20/16/14 nm).

IBM Rational Rhapsody

BM (International Business Machines Corporation), one of the world's oldest and largest computer companies, has presented version 8.0.6 of Rational Rhapsody. This release contains new features as well as fixes for client-reported and internally found defects.

IBM Rational Rhapsody family provides multiple editions to help systems engineers and embedded software developers analyze, design, develop, test, and deliver embedded, real-time systems and software.

For systems engineers:

- Rational Rhapsody Architect for Systems Engineers base edition enables requirements analysis using SysML/UML including Parametric Constraint Evaluation for trade studies.
- Rational Rhapsody Designer for Systems Engineers includes simulation for design validation.
